In Spain, while enjoying provisional freedom after being convicted of sexual assault against a young woman, Daniel Alves has resumed activity on his Instagram account.
Without updates since January 2023, days before being arrested, the former player made his first post in freedom on Tuesday (9).
Sentenced to four and a half years in prison, Daniel was released from the Brians 2 Penitentiary Center upon payment of a bail of 1 million euros (about R$ 5.4 million).
The former player spent 14 months in pretrial detention.
He was accused of sexually assaulting a young woman at a nightclub in Spain.

On Tuesday (9), the player posted an image of the sunset on Instagram. Then on Thursday (11), the photo shows a series of hanging objects, in a kind of chandelier. In the caption of both, only an exclamation point.
Although the former player’s account is restricted for comments, the post already has more than 150,000 likes. Among them, from the player Ezequiel Lavezzi, former Argentine national team player. The previous post had over 400,000 likes.
Release of the former player
On March 25, the Spanish justice system allowed Daniel Alves to leave prison while awaiting the appeal trial against his conviction.
The former player paid a bail of 1 million euros (R$ 5.4 million), in addition to meeting other requirements.
Mansion in Barcelona
According to El País, since leaving the Brians 2 Penitentiary Center, former player Daniel Alves spends much of his time at home, located in Esplugues de Llobregat.
The Brazilian lives in the mansion with his wife, Spanish model Joana Sanz, according to the newspaper.
The Brazilian bought the mansion during his time at Barcelona for about 5 million euros (R$ 27 million).
Daniel Alves occasionally receives friends while evaluating his future, according to the publication.
