The Brazilian National Women’s Team played another friendly against Japan. After a 4-3 victory on Thursday, Brazil was beaten 2-0 this Sunday (3). At the end of the game, coach Arthur Elias analyzed the match and spoke about his proposal for this game during a press conference.

“These are experiments that we are doing, we have to give opportunities to the players. Today we had a plan to have more speed to explore the back of the field, the plan also included high and very strong pressure, which is why we used different pieces”, said the coach about the different lineup.

“We had aggressive marking, encouraged to play against Japan. We managed to infiltrate the opposing team, we had good numbers and even better than the Japanese, but it’s football. We had two mistakes that ended up generating the goal, but we also had good chances that we ended up not converting”, he assessed.

Winger Tamires also commented on the team’s performance during the match. The player entered the field in the second half with the departure of Gabi Portilho.

“It’s important that we suffer now in a friendly match, so that we don’t suffer in the future in official competitions. This is part of the process, but we have to believe in our strength, believe in the cast as a whole. It wasn’t our best game, but I think we have a lot of positive aspects to take away and those that weren’t positive, we will improve for the next opportunities.”

This friendly was another test for Arthur Elias in command of the Seleção. In command of Brazil, the coach has two wins and two defeats.

After two friendlies against Japan, the Brazilian team will have the last test of the year. On Wednesday (6), at 6pm, at Fonte Luminosa, in Araraquara (SP), the Brazilian Warriors will face Nicaragua.
