Andreas Pereira’s brilliant season came to an abrupt and sad end. The Brazilian midfielder suffered a serious injury in Fulham’s loss to Manchester City which will leave him out of the field for a few months.

Thus, we will not see him in action again for the rest of the semester. Pereira will be operated on after sustaining a fractured right ankle, so it’s expected he won’t be able to return to training with his teammates until next pre-season.

Andreas Pereira out until next season

The midfielder was injured in his side’s loss to Pep Guardiola’s men. After 52 minutes, Pereira went for an air ball against Manuel Akanji, who arrived first but hit the Fulham player.

The injury happened when the Brazilian fell to the ground because he landed his right foot incorrectly. Immediately, Pereira held the affected area and called for medical assistance, obviously in pain.

There’s no denying that it’s a difficult situation for the player, who has scored four goals and made six assists in 33 Premier League games this season. There are only five games left for his team, but he will have to accompany them from the sidelines.
