Brazil forward Roberto Firmino says staying ‘free and happy’ will help his team to win Sunday’s Copa America final against Peru.
Brazil are huge favourites to win the match on home soil, but Firmino, a Champions League winner with Liverpool this season, says his team needs to resist the pressure.
“It was a very intense end of season for Liverpool, in which I did everything to be available for the Champions League Final and to be fit to be summoned and compete for the Copa America.
“Thank God, our time here has been very good and we hope to be crowned with the title, and at home. The team is very solid in defence, we still have not conceded, and we have taken advantage of chances up front. Let the team stay that way, free and happy.”
