Manchester United midfielder Fred says that interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given the team renewed belief, since taking the team over in December.
Solskjaer, who played for the club with such distinction for over a decade, has turned United’s fortunes around, culminating in a heart stopping Champions League win over PSG on Wednesday.
“He is a guy who has lived this on the pitch as well,” Fred told Esporte Interativo. “So he passes us some security. He talked a lot with us before the game. He told us to always believe. We have to believe.
“Our team is very big. Of course on the other side there was also a great team with great players. But regardless of anything, we knew we could get the win, and we got that achievement.”
United trailed 2-0 from the first leg, but turned the tie around at Parc des Princes, winning 3- 1 with an injury ravaged side. Marcus Rashford blasted home a stoppage time winner from the penalty spot.
