Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino says he is trying to convince Roma goalkeeper Alisson to come to Anfield. The Reds have long been linked with the Brazilian stopper.
Alisson has also alerted interest from Real Madrid. Firmino and Alisson are both part of Brazil’s squad for this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
“From time to time I pinch him and say: 'Come to Liverpool to help!' But I know he and his agent are still deciding.
“There are other clubs interested too, but it would not hurt to count on him!” Another of Firmino’s international teammates, Fred, joined Manchester United this week.
Firmino says he wishes Fred well at United, but said the rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United precludes him from wishing Fred too well.
“He's my roommate. Now, he’s also my rival. I congratulated him and I hope he is very successful. But on the field we are rivals, we cannot avoid that.”
