Brazilian striker Victor Andrade had ruptured his ligaments in his left knee and will be sidelined for six months.
With a torn left knee ligament, Brazilian striker Victor Andrade was operated last Tuesday by famous German doctor Ulrich Boenisch, known as ‘Father of the Knees’ in European football. Sami Khedira, Lukas Podolski, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Víctor Valdés and Jesé Rodríguez were some of the stars already in the hands of the knee specialist. On loan from Benfica at 1860 Munich until June 2017, the player who came through Santos was injured in the end of October, during a game with Würzburger Kickers, in the German Cup. He left 22 minutes after entering at the start of the second half. Victor Andrade will be out of action for approximately six months. For the German team, who are now in the second division of the German Championship, 21-year-old Victor Andrade has made nine appearances and scored one goal. The former Santos man has a contract with the Portuguese club until 2020.
