Despite having already seen an €8 million offer rejected, La Liga side Sevilla will continue pursuing São Paulo playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso, following a request from newly appointed coach Jorge Sampaoli.
According to SporTV reporter André Hernan, Sevilla will increase their proposal to sign Ganso, as Sampaoli believes that the 26-year-old’s style of play would be important for his team next season. According to the reporter, Ganso doesn’t intend to force his exit, because his current deal runs until September 2017 and in seven months, he’s free to sign a pre-contract with any team. The reporter says that leaders of São Paulo and the player will conduct new talks after the club’s participation in the Copa Libertadores.
André said: “Sevilla made an €8 million proposal for Paulo Henrique Ganso. But São Paulo already have the information that Sevilla will come again with another proposal. They will increase this value because Sampaoli accompanied São Paulo’s games in the Libertadores. He really wants that player. He saw the features of Sevilla and is looking for a player who thinks more, a brain, a player who plays the ball more calmly. He has indicated Ganso and they will make a new proposal.”
