Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho was the main highlight of Brazil"s victory over Haiti in the Copa América Centenário group stage fixture on Wednesday.
A day after the national team"s 7-1 victory, Philippe Coutinho saw his name being linked with one of the powerhouses of European football. As mentioned in British newspaper The Guardian, Barcelona would be willing to outbid French side Paris Saint-Germain, who have reportedly offered €30 million for the Brazilian"s services. When asked about the speculations over his future, Coutinho said that his focus was only on the Copa América. He said: “As far as I know, there"s no offer [for me]. I"m here with the national team, this subject is for my representatives. More important for me is to be here, focused on the national team and having a good tournament. That"s where my head is."
Without star player Neymar and in the absence of injured winger Douglas Costa, Philippe Coutinho has been a starter for Brazil"s first two games in the competition.
