Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk have rejected an offer of €12.5 million from Premier League side Tottenham for attacking midfielder Marlos.
One of the main highlights of Shakhtar last season, the former São Paulo man scored 12 goals, in addition to 14 assists, and attracted the interest of European clubs. Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan even sent scouts to monitor the 27-year-old Brazilian in recent months. The proposal from Tottenham was confirmed to ESPN Brasil by representatives of Shakhtar. Shakhtar are asking for €25 million to release Marlos, but there’s an assessment that the requested amount is out of reality. When contacted, Marlos’ representatives stated that an official contact is yet to be made by any club.
Formerly of Coritiba and São Paulo, Marlos was bought by Shakhtar from Metalist in 2014 for €8 million.
