Santos had officially announced the signing of young Argentine attacker Maxi Rolón last month.
According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola of Rádio Bradesco Esportes FM, to play at Santos, Maxi Rolón accepted to earn a salary three times lower than what he used to get at Barcelona B. Rolón reached the youth teams of Barcelona at the age of 10, before being integrated into the B team. Following the lack of opportunities, his contract at the club was terminated. Including bonuses, the forward will earn a salary of around €17,000 per month at Vila Belmiro. Argentine side San Lorenzo had also shown interest in signing Maxi, but the player wanted to go to Santos. In training, the 21-year-old has pleased Santos coach Dorival Júnior and should have a chance in the first team soon.
