The end of the European season is approaching, and the top clubs have already started their planning for the summer transfer window.
22-year-old Brazilian left-back Wendell, who came through Grêmio, is currently one of the highlights of Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. According to the information from ESPN Brasil, people linked to the player confirmed that a proposal of €20 million from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last year was rejected by the German side. And now Leverkusen are awaiting a proposal from Real Madrid, who would be willing to shell out around €35m for the young left-back. Florentino Pérez’ side need a player to provide competition for Marcelo, who’s currently the first-choice left-back at the Bernabéu. PSG are also seeking an alternative for Maxwell, whose contract with the French side runs out in June. Reports from Spain suggest that Barcelona are another club monitoring the progress of Wendell, and are interested in having the player to replace Adriano at the end of the season.
