Flamengo have agreed to sell striker Kayke Moreno to Yokohama Marinos in Japan, and the deal was completed on the afternoon of Monday.
Flamengo owned 80% of the economic rights of the player, and according to the information from Lance!, he was sold for approximately €1.8 million. Therefore, the club should receive around €1.5m from the deal. The club signed him from ABC in August last year after a good goalscoring record and he also had good figures with Flamengo, when he replaced Paolo Guerrero who was out with international duty. This year, however, Kayke did not play any competitive games. He suffered an injury in his right knee during the holidays, while playing Footvolley.
The Japanese side made their first offer for Kayke in late February as they wanted the player until December. Flamengo refused to release Kayke, but now with a proposal to have him permanently, Yokohama Marinos convinced the Brazilian club and reached an agreement.
