After a long meeting that lasted around five hours at a hotel in Florianópolis on Monday, Atlético Mineiro reached a deal to sign Figueirense"s young striker Clayton.
During the meeting, the board of Atlético Mineiro set the amount to be paid for a percentage of the 20-year-old striker [€3.5 million] and presented names of players who can move to the Orlando Scarpelli on loan. A product of the club"s youth system, and Copa do Brasil winner in 2014, attacking midfielder Dodô is among those offered to the Santa Catarina side, and he can leave Belo Horizonte soon. Present in all seven of the team"s games in the current season, including being a starter in three of them, the youngster must decide whether to go to Florianópolis in the coming days to sign the contract with Figueirense. Dodô"s agent Hélcio Alisk said: “We were notified that Dodô can be loaned out to Figueirense. It is not yet known, because he is participating in the training. I couldn"t talk to him. I need to know his opinion, it will be Dodô who will play."
Dodô is not the only option for Figueirense, as there are other names that appeared on the list, but the boards did not reveal the players that can move to the capital of Santa Catarina.
