Chelsea manager Guus Hiidink has paid tribute to Brazilian winger Willian after the ex Shakhtar man was again in inspired form as Chelsea thrashed a shadow Manchester City side 5-1 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Despite Chelsea’s indifferent season, Willian will surely be nominated for individual awards for his performances this season. He was on the scoresheet again against City. Hiidink gushed about Willian’s form in the aftermath of Sunday’s resounding victory.
“Normally a player tends to stick with his talents, but Willian is open to work on other things. He is taking responsibility to defend his position. He has the talent to make the ball do whatever he wants it to do. His feet are like hands.”
Chelsea have been rewarded with a trip to Goodison Park in the Quarter Finals as Hiidink aims to win back the trophy he claimed as Chelsea boss back in 2009.
