Santos board were optimistic about the possible arrival of club idol Robinho to cool down the fans after both Marquinhos Gabriel and Geuvânio left the club. As the deal was not completed, the club’s objective now is to use the same financial proposal – €45,000 and the rest of the salary paid by a company – to engineer the arrival of a big name. Diego Ribas, who came through the youth system at Vila Belmiro and won the Brasileirão in 2002, is a dream for Santos. Currently at Turkish side Fenerbahçe, the midfielder, has a contract until June 2017 and receives more than €220,000 per-month.
