Brazilian national team midfielder Elias will decide next week whether to accept the proposal he has received from Chinese football.
Héběi Zhōngjī, who were promoted to the Chinese top-divisiom this year, have offered Corinthians a transfer fee of €10m to sign the player. Elias was one of the prominent members of the Corinthians team that lifted this year’s Brazilian Championship. As mentioned in Globo Esporte, the board admits the possibility of losing him, but said that they don’t intend to think about signing a replacement at the moment. The economic rights of Elias, who has a contract until the end of 2017, are divided equally between Corinthians and Sporting Clube de Portugal.
Corinthians continues to monitor the situation of Marquinhos Gabriel, whose loan contract with Santos comes to a close on Thursday. Santos couldn’t reach an agreement with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, the club that owns Marquinhos’ economic rights.
