A radio station based in Porto Alegre stated on Monday about a staggering proposal from Chinese football for Grêmio"s young forward Luan.
The information released was that Grêmio rejected a proposal of €32 million for the player from a Chinese club. Brazilian journalist João Batista Filho contacted Luan"s representative, and it turns out that the reports were indeed false. According to the agent, this proposal never happened, and no Chinese team has offered this amount for Grêmio"s number 7.
Earlier this month, there were reports that an investment fund from England had promised a superior proposal to that of Valencia [made at the start of 2015], and that Grêmio have set the conditions to negotiate the player. However, the club want him to stay in Porto Alegre for at least another year, or until the end of their 2016 Libertadores campaign. It"s worth remembering that the asking price for Luan was in the region of €25m, and the reported €32m exceeds Grêmio"s demands.
