Brazil boss Dunga has thrown his weight behind Neymar to win the Ballon D’or for 2015. The Brazil captain has been nominated alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and the Seleção boss told O Globo that this ought to be Neymar’s year.

“Neymar is flying at the moment, taking on a leadership role in the team. I believe his time has come. It’s not that Cristiano Ronaldo is not playing well now, but he’s not on the same level as last year. Lionel Messi was doing well but he got injured.”

Ex Brazil left-back Roberto Carlos has also suggested that his compatriot ought to prevail at the annual awards ceremony later this month, “Neymar will win the Ballon d’Or in one or two years. I really want Neymar to win and break up the era of Ronaldo and Messi, but I think this year it will be between the two of them again.”
