A group of investors from England has reportedly promised Grêmio a higher offer than the one which was rejected last January for 22-year-old forward Luan.
According to the information from UOL Esporte, Grêmio have set the conditions to negotiate the player, but they want Luan to stay in Porto Alegre for at least another year, or until the end of their Libertadores campaign. But that does not mean that a deal couldn’t be signed, as Grêmio may agree to negotiate, receive the money and then release the player later. An investment group linked to football clubs in England are aware of this and consider investing highly in Luan, and leaving him in Brazil for one more year, where he can also take part in the Olympic Games. The proposal is around €15 million, which would be €3m more than what was offered by Valencia last January. But the figure is still considered low by Grêmio as they’re waiting for a proposal in the region of €25m to sell the player.
