23-year-old Internacional goalkeeper Álisson, who"s also the first-choice for the Brazilian national team under Dunga, has been attracting interest from European football since the middle of the year.
Álisson emerged as a target for Italian side AS Roma last summer, and now Juventus have made an approach for the player who they consider as a possible successor to 37-year-old legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. According to Globo Esporte, the team from Turin, who already have two Brazilian goalkeepers [Rubinho and Neto] as backup, haven"t made an official proposal yet, but are willing to shell out up to €8 million for Álisson. His agent Zé Maria has confirmed an approach from Juventus but says it"s nothing concrete. He said: “Juventus is one of the clubs that made an enquiry to me, among many others, but nothing concrete. €8m is good value. Álisson has grown into a global context. We are discussing many values. One close to it, others slightly apart. But Buffon is the “Pope of Juventus." These things will be discussed. We want a sports project, not just money."
