With 12 goals, Corinthians midfielder Jádson is the second highest goal scorer in the Brasileirão this season, and has the most assists in the league with ten.
Both the player and his club are enjoying a great period in the league with the Timão eight points clear of Atlético Mineiro at the top of the table. Jádson admits to be happy with contributing with impressive figures, but says individual awards comes after the team. He was quoted in Globo Esporte: “I’m happy to be living this moment. The numbers are impressive, but I always have to thank my teammates. Nobody wins alone, each trying to help as best as they can. It’s  Tite, right? He do not let the group get out of hand. We know the importance of this title.”
When asked about being the best player in the league, he said: “I’ll leave that to the media and the fans. There are many quality players that are doing well, as Renato Augusto, Elias and others from other teams. It’s kind of hard to say if I’m the best. I’m only sure that I will continue working hard to be the champion. Regardless of who is chosen, it is important to be champion. Let’s think about the individual awards after that. I’m not thinking about it.”
