Paris Saint-Germain are ready to compete with Juventus to try and secure Atlético de Madrid full-back Guilherme Siqueira, according to reports.

The website of respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the Ligue 1 holders have outbid Juventus, as they look to buy a replacement for France international Lucas Digne, who is expected to join Roma.

The report suggests that despite PSG’s interest, Juventus remain favourites to get Siqueira and they are awaiting his response to a four year contract worth €2.5 million annually before proceeding.

It is expected that the player will give his answer on Tuesday, with the possibility of the move being completed imminently if his response is positive.

Siqueira is set to leave Atlético due to fellow Brazilian Filipe Luís’ return to the club from Chelsea.

The 29 year-old has a contract until June 2018 and was only signed from Granada for a reported fee of €10 million in July 2014, but is seemingly set to be forced out.

Last season, he was part of a side that won the Supercopa de España, while in all competitions he featured 37 times, scoring once.

Earlier in his career, Siqueira has spent time at various Italian clubs, including Udinese, and was loaned from Granada to Benfica for the 2013-14 campaign.
