Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has questioned the transfer to midfielder Nathan to Chelsea.
The 19 year old Brazilian completed a £4.5 million move to the Blues from Atlético Paranaense yesterday but Wenger can’t understand how it was secured.
“You cannot get players from Brazil in England at the moment. I don’t know how you can sign players from Brazil.”
It is believed Wenger is referring to the visa difficulties linked with signing young South Amrerican players. Chelsea seem to find it simple to sign Brazilians with eight now on the books.
Wenger benefited from Brazilian players during Arsenal’s invicible title winning season of 2003-04. Edu and Gilberto Silva were key players for the club at that time.
