Paris Saint Germain captain Thiago Silva has praised Javier Pastore and describes him as the best player France this season.
Pastore provided three assists in PSG"s 3-1 victory over Metz on Tuesday and now has ten assists for the season as well as five goals.
“He"s having his best season with PSG," said Silva. “He"s the best player in the league. For me, he"s even better than [Lyon"s Alexandre] Lacazette. Look at the number of assists he"s given us. He"s the most important man at PSG."
Silva even thinks the 25 year old Argentine has been more important than iconic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“Yes, because it"s Pastore who gives the passes to Zlatan. Without a good pass, it"s more difficult to score. When “El Flaco" plays like that, it"s easier for Zlatan."
