Former Liverpool player John Aldridge has said that Philippe Coutinho is the key for Liverpool when it comes to attacking.

Recent stats show that Coutinho has created 24 chances for Liverpool in 2015, which is eight more than any other player. Aldridge thinks that this is why the reds struggled to create chances in their game against Swansea City.

“One of the main problems in the first half (against Swansea City) is that when Philippe Coutinho doesn’t play well, we don’t tick,” Aldridge said in the Liverpool Echo. “In the first half the game bypassed him and he just wasn’t himself and we suffered going forward.”
