Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was quick to praise debutant  Gabriel Paulista following the Gunners 2-0 over Middlesbrough on Sunday.

The Brazilian played the full 90 minutes as Arsenal moved into the quarter finals of the FA Cup. Despite receiving a yellow card his manager was impressed.

“He has shown three important qualities – great concentration levels, great urgency to defend and good pace, especially on the recovery tackle he made in the box.”

But Wenger also made it clear that he thinks Paulista can play even better.

On the other hand, he played a little bit with the handbrake on because he did not want to make a mistake.
“From what I’ve seen there’s a lot to come from him because technically he is good at passing as well.”
