Agent Naor Malaquias has confirmed that Napoli have rejected a bid from Cruzeiro for defender Henrique.
The 28 year-old, who was signed from Palmeiras for a reported fee of €4 million in January 2014, has featured just eleven times this season, but despite his lack of playing time, Malaquias insists Head Coach Rafael Benítez wanted him to stay in Naples.
“He will remain at Napoli until June, then we’ll see,” he told CalcioNapoli24.it.
“There was an offer from Cruzeiro over the last few hours, but Rafa Benítez promptly rejected it because he did not want to lose the player for the rest of the season.
“Could this move be reconsidered in the summer? It’s possible…”
