It seems that Manchester United are keen to continue to spend as they set their sights on Anderson Talisca and Eduardo Salvio of Benfica.
According to Portugese paper O Jogo, Manchester United sent scouts to watch the two players in Benfica’s shock 1-0 loss against Pacos Ferreira last night.
Salvio is a right winger with experience in both Spain and Portugal despite his young age of 24. 20 year old Brazilian Talisca is said to be the most promising with 9 goals in 18 games this season in either an attacking midfield role or as a striker.
Critics would argue that defenders are more suitable for United at this stage of the season but the rumours are persisting. Manchester United would have to fork out over €40 million just to meet Talisca’s release clause alone.
