Fiorentina will have to sell before making a move for Corinthians forward Alexandre Pato, according to reports.
Italian newspaper La Nazione claims that La Viola are ready to bid for the Brazil international in the January transfer window, as they look to cover the loss of Giuseppe Rossi and Federico Bernardeschi to injury.
Pato has spent the season on loan at São Paulo, but his agreement with them ends this month and it is unclear whether he has a long-term future at Corinthians.
With that in mind, Fiorentina are seemingly keen and if they can move on the likes of Mounir El Hamdaoui and Oleksandr Yakovenko, they will likely propose terms next month.
