France and Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane has claimed that Ronaldo was the greatest player he ever played with.
The duo played alongside each other in the Spanish capital for four years before the World Cup winning Frenchman hung up his boots in 2006.
Speaking after Ronaldo’s induction to the Goal.com Hall of Fame, Zidane said that the 38-year-old was the finest teammate he ever lined up alongside.
‘I’ve always seen Ronaldo as the best because I played and trained with him,’ Zidane said.
‘He’s probably the best player I ever played with. He did what he wanted with the ball and didn’t have any weaknesses.
‘When he decided to express himself with the ball, he did whatever he wanted. Technically, no player has impressed me more than Ronaldo. On a good day, it was impossible to stop him.’
