Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz believes that Brazil have matured since their humiliating exit at the World Cup.

Brazil were dumped out of the tournament at the semi-final stage after an embarrassing 7-1 hammering by Germany in Belo Horizonte, before they later succumbed to a 3-0 reverse to the Netherlands in the third-place playoff.

However, since Dunga replaced Luiz Felipe Scolari as coach, the Selecao have won five games on the spin and are yet to concede a goal.

Speaking after their 4-0 win over Turkey on Thursday, the PSG defender said: ‘We knew we needed to reflect on what happened at the World Cup. We are maturing and learning a new philosophy [under Dunga].

‘Dunga has the leadership qualities and personality and he has shown us the way to victory. It was a very good feeling [to be cheered by the Turkish fans]. We faced an adverse situation and we are very happy [with the win]."
