Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca has insisted that he is ready to embrace a new period of his career after earning his first call-up to the Brazil squad.
The in-form 20-year-old has replaced the injured Lucas Moura and he said that he is looking forward to staking a claim for regular consideration by Selecao coach Dunga.
He said: ‘I have evolved greatly since I came to Europe and hopefully I can prove myself with this call-up to the Brazil team.
‘I understand that the pressure of wearing the Brazilian shirt is great but I also understand that I am naturally going through a new stage of my career and I hope to be successful in it.’
