Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has been voted by the fans as the club’s Player of the Month for October.
The Reds have endured mixed fortunes in recent weeks, but the diminutive playmaker has been a consistent performer for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Coutinho started four of the six games played last month and appeared off the bench in the remaining two, and he thanked the supporters for the accolade on Friday morning.
Coutinho told the club’s official website: ‘First of all, thank you. I was really glad I was voted by the fans, it means a lot to me.
‘I receive constant messages from the fans and that makes me happy. It’s very nice and an extra motivation for me to keep improving and bring them joy on the pitch.’
