Shakhtar Donetsk coach Mircea Lucescu has urged for Brazil boss Dunga to call Alex Teixeira up to the national side.
Luiz Adriano grabbed the headlines for the Ukraine side as they hammered BATE Borisov 5-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Adriano scored three goals to become the first player in the competition’s history to net back-to-back hat-tricks, but Lucescu also reserved a word of praise for Teixeira, who netted a goal three minutes after half time.
Lucescu told reporters after the game: ‘Luiz Adriano and Dunga were called up to the national side, and I think Alex Teixeira deserves to be there.
‘We are looking forward to the next game and hope that the support will be the same.’
