Inter Milan defender Juan Jesus is using Champions League qualification as an incentive in their Europa League campaign this season.
This season marks the first time that the winners of Europe"s secondary competition are entered into the Champions League next term, and the Brazilian is looking to use the new ruling to help the squad win the trophy.
He told GloboEsporte: ‘We will try to win the Europa League because it is a direct step towards the Champions League.
‘We are focused and have seven points. A victory can see us qualify for the next stage of the competition. A return to the Champions League [is what we want] because Inter should never have left."
Inter travel to Ligue 1 side Saint Etienne this evening.
