Liverpool are set to reward Philippe Coutinho with a new deal, despite the Brazilian struggling for form at the start of the 2014/15 campaign.

The playmaker has endured a tough start to the new season and been dropped by Reds manager Brendan Rodgers on a couple of occasions.

However, it is believed Coutinho alongside three of his team mates will be discussing new deals with the club shortly.

Daily Telegraph believe Rodgers is desperate to tie down some of the key members of his squad.

England striker Daniel Sturridge recently signed a new deal and he will be joined by international and club team mate Jordan Henderson.

Telegraph report that another England ace Raheem Sterling is next on Liverpool’s list and then Coutinho will be sat down for new contract talks.

Steven Gerrard is another who will sign a new deal but Metro believe no timescale has ben put on when the contracts must be signed.

Although Coutinho hasn’t replicated the form he displayed last year, he still remains a key player for Liverpool and fans will hope he signs a new contract shortly.
