Guangzhou Evergrande are looking to agree renewed terms with forward Elkeson, according to reports.

Respected Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that agent Davide Lippi – son of Guangzhou Head Coach Marcello – is hopeful of renegotiating Elkeson’s contract in the near future.

The 25 year-old has scored 29 goals in 36 appearances this season, while his overall record for the Southern China Tigers is 60 in 74.

Such impressive figures have not slipped the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Internazionale and Napoli reportedly making tentative enquiries over summer.

The Serie A duo’s interest was rebuffed on that occasion, but Di Marzio notes that it may be rekindled in the near future, if Elkeson does not extend his contract.
