Sao Paulo have increased the pressure on league leaders Cruzeiro in the Brazilian league after Sao Paulo defeated Rio club Botafogo 4-2.
In an animated game, Sao Paulo and Botafogo played each other at the National Stadium in Brasilia in front of 24,857 fans.
Alan Kardec put Sao Paulo ahead after seven minutes, but Botafogo responded before the break with goals from Zeballos and Andre Bahia.
After the interval, Sao Paulo secured victory with a brace from Souza and a late goal from Alexandre Pato. Airton got send off for Botafogo.
With the three points won, Sao Paulo have a total of 39 points, just four behind the top-ranked Cruzeiro.
