German forward Lucas Podolski has traded compliments with former Brazil star Ronaldinho on social media ahead of his country’s vital World Cup Quarter Final with France at the Maracana tomorrow afternoon.
The Arsenal forward, who missed Germany’s late win over Algeria with a slight injury, took to Twitter to proclaim Ronaldinho “one of the greatest players in football history.”
The sentiment was not lost on the former World Player of the Year, who retorted: “I hope that the cup is an amzing experience in your life my friend!”
If Germany progress to the last four, they could very well face World Cup hosts Brazil for a place in the Final, putting such social network banter on hold for at least one match.
