Brazil playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso has emerged as a shock transfer target for Dubai team Al Nasr as the oil-rich club aim to attract a world name to their ranks this summer.

Ganso, 24, has been at Sao Paulo since a 2012 move from rivals Santos and is thought to be attracting interest from Italian sides AC Milan and Napoli as well.

Despite missing out on a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad, the midfielder has started to rebuild his reputation as a supremely talented attacking threat this term, after somewhat losing his way upon experiencing huge media clamour as a teenager.

Al Nasr are said to be chasing Ganso as a replacement for fellow Brazilian Eder Luis, who has recently damaged his cruciate ligament and is set for up to eight months on the sidelines.
