The top scorer from the Brazilian championship 04/05 Romario has set his sights on a 1000 career goals before retirement.
Several friendly games with official status are been arranged so that every goal Romario scores will count towards his goal tally, which currently stands as 949.
Romario stated: “I am thankful to the officials of Vasco because they have the goodwill of helping me to score as many goals as possible, so I can make my dream come true.
“I am glad that I took the decision to stay at Vasco because this is my home.”
