Although São Paulo have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro, the Brazilian does not believe the transfer is feasible and the 25-year-old has also revealed that current boss Tim Sherwood will leave at the end of the season.

A few weeks ago speculation was rife that Sherwood had been told he would be leaving his post as Spurs manager at the end of the season, however the man himself rejected those claims.

Sandro’s admission, then, that Sherwood will leave at the end of the season seems to confirm that those reports a couple of weeks ago were in fact correct.

When the 25-year-old spoke to ESPN Brazil, the Brazilian said: “He (Sherwood) will leave at the end of the season. Then, new coach, new everything.

“I do not know anything yet (about my future), but I’m happy to have my name talked about with a club the size of São Paulo.”

The dynamic midfielder is a huge fan favourite at White Hart Lane and most supporters would not be happy if he departed.

Therefore, the Brazilian’s views that a transfer away will be difficult, will please Tottenham fans.

São Paulo and most Brazilian clubs lack of finance muscle means a switch for Sandro back to his home country would be very unlikely.

Sandro added: “It would be very difficult to leave on loan. If I leave, I would have to be sold, and it is not close. Other teams have come, but with little money.”
