The Arena da Baixada was inaugurated on Saturday but members of the public had to endure a drab 0-0 draw between Atlético-PR and J Malucelli.
The fans of Atlético-PR definitely played their part in the reopening of their stadium, some 27 months after it was closed in order to prepare it as a World Cup venue.
A crowd of around 10,000 watched the stadium’s first test event and fans of the Furação used the opportunity to vent their frustrations against manager Miguel Angél as the match ended goalless.
