Argentinian striker Hernan Barcos has hailed Gremio’s latest Copa Libertadores result and described the 3-0 scoreline against Nacional as belying the difficulty of last night’s task.
29 year-old Barcos told reporters after that game that “it was a resounding victory, the team played very well.”
“It was an important result against a team like Nacional, who came here and tried to impose themselves.”
“In the Copa Libertadores, when you have chances to score, you have to do so. It’s good to leave the crowd pleased and we played great football.”
Gremio’s impressive victory leaves them at the summit of Group 6 with the maximum of six points after two games, coupled with the fact that they have yet to concede a goal in this year’s tournament.
