Internazionale Head Coach Walter Mazzarri is hoping that new signing Hernanes can help young midfielder Mateo Kovačić.
The tactician has criticised the 19 year-old Croatian international in recent weeks, but believes playing with Hernanes will improve him as a player.
“I hope Hernanes can do even more than he has done so far in his career,” he said, as reported by Football Italia. “He’s a Brazilian international and can help Mateo Kovačić to grow too.
“We needed a player with extreme quality who can also help those with less experience. I don’t want to give him too much responsibility, but he can be useful psychologically as well.”
Hernanes is expected to make his debut for Inter when they face Sassuolo at the San Siro tomorrow.
