Chelsea defender David Luiz has dealt a blow to potential siutors by declaring that he is happy at Stamford Bridge and has no desire to leave in the near future.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich have both been heavily linked with the Brazilian in the recent past but it appears that any such transfer is some way off.

As reported on givemesport.com, the 26 year-old said: “I love to play for Chelsea, I love to play football, it doesn’t matter if I play in midfield or defence.

“I’m just lucky to play for a big club and it’s nice when you can play with very good players like (Nemanja) Matic.”

It has been alleged that Barca bid in the region of £35million for Luiz last summer but he appears more than happy under new boss Jose Mourinho for the time being.
