The management and players are is discussions about what to do following Saturday’s protest and are expected to announce a position soon regarding Sunday’s game against Ponte Preta.

Around 100 fans invaded Corinthians’ training ground on Saturday morning to protest against the team’s poor performance in their recent 5-1 defeat to rivals Santos.

As a consequence, several players are thought to want to boycott Sunday’s game but directors are trying to dissuade them from doing so. The game is due to be broadcast on TV and they are worried that the cancellation might entail serious repercussions.

One of the leaders of the Bom Senso FC movement, defender and captain Paulo André, is thought to be leading discussions and is in touch with the organisation which is trying to force through changes in Brazilian football.
