Brazil and Barcelona defender Dani Alves has blasted the treatment of Neymar regarding the recent transfer uncertainty of his switch from Santos last summer

Undoubtedly the major talking point of recent times in terms of Spanish football, it would be fait to assume it has taken its toll on the 21 year-old Brazil marksman but Alves says his teammate remains calm about it all.

“He is doing well,” Alves told Barca TV, “the fact that his contract had to be shown to explain his signing is disrespectful.”

“We have to do our best to not allow ourselves to be destabilised (by president Sandro Rosell’s resignation over the matter).”

Alves then went on to suggest a La Liga triumph for Barcelona would be sweeter given the close proximity of the teams fighting it out for the title: “The title will be very special for the team that wins it. This thing is between three teams now. I believe this will go down to the last match of the season.”

One point separates Barca, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in the Spanish top division.
