Chasselay defender Ertek has admitted that he is “devastated”.
At a press conference, the defender that injured Colombian star Falcao has expressed his regret at what happened in his team’s 3-0 defeat to Monaco in the French Cup on Wednesday.
“If I could go back in time, I would let him score. I think about him all the time. I’m devastated,” confirmed the centre-back.
“I would like to offer my apologies to Falcao, those close to him and to Monaco. After the game I was too ashamed to look for him. When I finally decided to do so, he had already left the stadium. I hope he gets better as quickly as possible.”
